Dresser is done!!

John and I put the dresser together for the baby's room- and while it was more difficult then the crib- it was not as bad as I expected it to be. I think the directions made it seem more difficult. You definitely need two people to put it together- do not attempt alone!!

It is from JC Penney's- it is the Olivia collection changing tower- that matches our Olivia crib in Espresso. To complete the dresser we added the changing pad, which I purchased from Target, covered with an organic cotton changing pad in sage, that I got on clearance at Babies R Us (gotta love a sale!).

It is very sturdy and definitely large enough to fit everything that you need for diaper changes and a great place to store blankets, socks, and other baby clothes.
It has a separate space where I will put a lamp- below that it has a door that opens up to two shelves, great for extra diapers and tall bottles that you may not need everyday.

Overall, I think it was a great purchase- it was reasonably priced and looks very nice in our nursery. I would definitely suggest JC Penney for their baby furniture. It is a little scary ordering furniture sight unseen, since there is no where to see their baby furniture- but we are very pleased with both pieces, they arrived well packaged and damage free. Definitely no regrets!

Almost time for IUI #2

I go tomorrow for what I hope is my last ultrasound, hopefully all my follicles will be ready to go and I can trigger tomorrow night and our IUI will be on Wednesday. I am so ready for this to be the winning one! We had dinner with our friends last night, the wife is pregnant and due in like a month. It was so hard! They had asked us to meet them at their house, becasue they wanted to show us the finished nursery. Thank god John said, no we will just meet you at the restaurant. But the husband was still showing us pictures. I know he's proud of his work, he did a great job with the painting, but come on, you know we are struggling to have kids, WHY would you do that. Its like grinding salt into the wounds. I just kept saying, its really cute, I mean what else was I going to say? John and I both feel that they stole our nursery idea, pink and brown, and thats why they are making a big deal about it. Oh well, there are lots of pink and brown nursery's, it a very popular color sceme right now. I dont care about that, but its like, yes you did a good job, now SHUT UP!!!

Onto Cycle #2

Well, the first Clomid cycle didnt work so we have moved onto Clomid cycle #2. So yet more doctors appointments. If anyone had told me it was this hard to have a baby I would have laughed at them! All the money I spent on birth control pills, WASTED!

What infertility has done to me I do not think I could ever explain, unless you have gone through it, its a feeling that you wish on no one! I truly believe I have become a stronger person because of this struggle, however I keep thinking my heart cannot handle another disappointment. Every cycle gone by and every month of not having a baby it breaks my heart. I watch other people with the kids and I know that will be us one day, I just do not know when. Every month I get the Pottery Barn kids catalog, and every month I admire all the cute crib bedding, I swear I have the nursery designed in my head, but every month it gets a little harder to look through that catalog.

I cannot even bring myself to look at baby stuff anymore, trips to Target have gotten more difficult. I cannot make the dreaded trip to Babies R Us, thank god for online ordering.

I know when I finally get to hold my precious baby in my arms this will have all been worth it. But right at this momemt my heart is broken. I try so hard to look forward to each cycle with optimisism and excitment, but it gets harder and harder.
